Cavs and Walgreens Donate 250 Backpacks to Boys & Girls Clubs of Lorain County!

CLEVELAND, OH - August 22, 2011 - The Cleveland Cavaliers and Walgreens made an afternoon visit to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lorain County on Friday, August 19th to make sure that hundreds of local students were ready to hit the books this fall! More than 250 enthusiastic students arrived at the Elyria location for a back-to-school bash, where they each received their own brand-new backpack, donated by the Cavs, stuffed with the essentials – pencils, glue sticks, pink erasers and more, courtesy of Walgreens.
With a pre-party dance-off setting the mood for a fantastic event, the kids of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lorain County were able to cherish the last few moments of their summer vacation with an afternoon picnic, larger-than-life Cavs inflatable games and special appearances by Cavs mascot Moondog and in-arena host Ahmaad.
